Children: Be Fruitful and Multiply

  • Excellent article by Mark Regnerus on the shoddy state of studies used to declare the politically correct “no difference among kids raised by same-sex parents” research.  This article (October 14 2016) is excellent, and next to it are numerous other fine pieces on the same subject, many by Regnerus, in The Public Discourse.
  • Here is a column written by David Ayers on August 17, 2011.  It deals with another hideous development in the long, ugly history of abortion on demand — “culling” fetuses from pregnant women carrying more than one child in the womb.  “Abortion’s Slippery Slope: The Two-Minus-One Pregnancy.”
  • Think children raised by homosexual couples are all “cool” with it?  Here is an interesting piece from Ireland by a woman raised by a lesbian couple.

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”  Genesis 1:27-28
And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.  Genesis 3:20
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.  Like arrows in the hands of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.  Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.  Psalm 127:3-5
For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.  My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.  And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.  Psalm 139:13-16
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you… Jeremiah 1:5a
Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.  But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the Kingdom of God.  Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child will be no means enter it.”  And He took them up in His arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.  Mark 10:13-16
